Image Wear AS 20 years
Image Wear's story in Estonia began in 1988, when Pekka Vettenranta - the father of current owners Janne Vettenranta and Kati Tukiainen - set out to find additional production capacity in the southern neighbour. The first sewing factory was established on the upper floor of the Hullumaja patient building in Tallinn, and work began with 17 seamstresses. The first products were cotton overalls.

Production grew rapidly, and soon the company moved to Mustamäe, where sewing teams worked on three floors. In 2005, a subsidiary, Image Wear AS, was established, and production moved to Narva - a traditional textile industrial town in East Estonia. By 2008, all production in Estonia had been centralized in Narva, where the sewing facility has evolved over the years into a highly refined factory with skilled employees. Narva’s versatile and flexible production is an important part of our customer service – now and in the future.

In 2020, we acquired the tailoring company Topper Balti Oü. Today, almost 140 Image Wear employees work in Estonia – in Narva, Viljandi and the Tallinn sales office.

Last Friday, our entire Estonian team gathered to celebrate the 20-year milestone of Image Wear AS. During the day, we recognized long-serving employees, enjoyed delicious food, competed in games, sang karaoke, and danced. The atmosphere was great – just as it should be on a festive day.
