Image Wear donated work clothes to Ukraine

Lahjoitimme työvaatteita Ukrainaan

We donated a total of 25 boxes of men's workwear to Ukraine, which were delivered directly to aid targets, such as emergency medical services and first aid. The textile donations support local actors in crisis areas where the need for basic equipment remains high.

The delivery of the donation was carried out in collaboration with Avunkantajat ry. Kristiina Taalikka has made several aid trips to Ukraine. This time as well, the Finnish volunteer helpers and the donated items Safely reached Kiev. Kristiina already has several volunteer units in Ukraine, ensuring that the aid quickly reaches those in need. You can read more about Kristiina's humanitarian work on Facebook .

As a token of appreciation for the donation, we received a beautiful beeswax candle crafted in the blue and yellow colours of the Ukrainian flag. The candle is decorated with the map of Ukraine and the national symbol, the viburnum (kalyna), which holds a long-standing place in Ukrainian culture.

The kalyna bush is the national tree of Ukraine. When the Cossacks fought for their country, the kalyna bush and its red berries represented bravery. Today, the bush also symbolises motherhood, with its flowers and berries symbolising children. The candle reminds us that even small actions can have a great impact.
