The story of the Pyry winter collection
The story of Pyry began with a wish. The sales team and customers hoped for winter clothing that would not only be warm and durable, but also genuinely stylish and comfortable – garments that make it possible to work even in the most challenging conditions of the Finnish winter. Expectations were high, they wanted clothing that felt personal and reflected everyday heroism.
The designer took on the challenge together with the pattern master and the sales product specialist. The first sketches were created quickly, but the journey was just beginning. The sales team gathered feedback from the field – from real users, those who truly know what good workwear feels like. The feedback was honest: not everything hit the mark, so the plans needed refining.
Every piece of feedback, every comment and request helped move the collection forward. Plans evolved, details were refined, even the fabric was changed right after the first prototype. The process was full of discussion, experimentation and collaboration. At times, uncertainty surfaced, but the strongest feeling throughout was excitement - the sense that something new and better was being created.
Eventually, the Pyry winter jacket and Pyry winter trousers were born – with dedicated models for women coming soon. These are workwear garments that protect, keep you warm, and make everyday life easier. Every pocket and detail has been carefully considered from the user's perspective. The best solutions are found together, by listening to the user and prioritising everyday needs. The result is stylish, practical and durable – clothing you can rely on day after day.
