Flexible protective clothing passes the strict screening of A-Katsats inspectors

Workwear matters, especially when it comes to protection and durability. However, only the right fit and comfort of the clothing make working days truly better, despite the demanding conditions. This has also been noticed in the A-Katsastus Group, where approximately 700 people wear protective clothing developed and manufactured by Finnish company Image Wear.

– We have been ordering workwear from Image Wear for over twenty years. The clothing is mainly used by A-Katsastus inspectors and Ajovarma examiners, says Jussi Katajamäki, Regional Director of the A-Katsastus Group.
A-Katsastus uses work and protective clothing from head to toe, from hats to softshell jackets and from shirts to safety shoes. Some of the protective clothing is printed with the A-Katsastus or Ajovarma logo using Image Wear.
Collaboration for more comfortable workwear
The protective clothing models used by A-Katsastus are updated from time to time, and this is being prepared in a protective clothing project involving inspectors, examiners, supervisors, a trusted person, the occupational health and safety manager and the purchasing director, as well as a representative from Image Wear. The joint project selects and develops protective clothing suitable for inspection and driver examinations.
“The latest protective clothing has been found to be particularly comfortable thanks to its stretch properties, and it also looks modern. The shell jacket with high-visibility coloring has also received praise,” Katajamäki praises.
Image Wear's Key Account Manager Janne Vettenranta says that almost all large companies and organizations choose features for their workwear that suit their needs. They also want to customize the appearance of the clothing to match their own brand.
– With some customers, we work together to develop innovations that are completely tailored to them. Our development unit is constantly on the cutting edge – listening to and responding to our customers' needs.

The goal in development work is to be a pioneer in the workwear industry.
Development Manager Emma Kaappa confirms that Image Wear's ambitious goal is to be the first to adopt new solutions in the workwear industry.
– We follow the workwear industry closely. For example, we attend trade fairs and conferences and participate in webinars. We also keep an eye on the most interesting players in the industry and collaborate with various research and educational institutions.
Kaappa reminds us that Image Wear does not only innovate with its products, but also constantly develops new production methods and service models, such as Työvaatelainaamo Rental Service , which was designed together with customers.
Although development is constantly moving forward, there is one permanent and ever-growing trend in the workwear industry: comfort.
– And that equals fit, flexibility and purpose. By developing these, we make many people's working days better.
