At Image Wear, Black Friday is Bright Friday
At Image Wear, we want to make Black Friday different. Until now, we have celebrated Repair Friday by encouraging people to repair their broken clothes. This year, we are introducing Bright Friday, which brings light and meaning instead of a shopping frenzy. We are dedicating this day to doing good by making an extra donation to Save the Children Finland's Give the Gift of a Future Christmas appeal.
" For us, Bright Friday means more than discounts – it is an opportunity to make a difference. By donating to Save the Children, we want to show that responsibility and charity are at the heart of our ownership strategy ," says Kati Tukiainen, Development Director at Image Wear.
Image Wear supports Finnish children with a Christmas donation
Our contribution will help low-income families and children at risk of social exclusion in Finland. Right now, the number of children living in poverty is rising at a record pace – more than 120,000 children live in low-income households, and this figure is expected to grow by nearly 30,000. Many children report that they even lack enough food.
Funds raised during the Christmas campaign will enable Save the Children to provide grocery vouchers and support for hobbies. In addition, the organisation offers children in challenging family situations access to mentors, foster homes, and online counselling.
" Poverty affects more and more children in Finland and the need for support is greater than ever. Help from companies is extremely important. A heartfelt thank you to Image Wear for supporting children in Finland ," says Johanna Mäkelä, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Save the Children Finland.
